To clear old/stale passwords that are locking your NYSERDA account

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click Profile Passwords


  • Select the three vertical dots next to every entry using your NYSERDA username/email address or if the site has NYSERDA in its name.

  • If you use Edge, or have ever used Edge, please open that browser and select three horizontal dots in the top right hand corner:

  • Then select "Settings" towards the bottom:

  • Click the "Passwords" option:







  • Select the three horizontal dots next to every entry using your NYSERDA username/email address or if the site has NYSERDA in its name.

  • For Firefox
  • Open Firefox and in the upper right hand corner click the three horizonal lines:


  • Then click "Settings" towards the bottom of the list:

  • On the menu that comes up, click the "Privacy & Security" tab on the right hand side, then scroll down to "Logins and Passwords" and click "Saved Logins…"

  • Select each site that has your NYSERDA username or email address listed and then select "Remove" towards the right hand side.
