Introduction
Audio Conferencing provides the ability to dial-in to a Microsoft Teams meeting using a phone line rather than your computer or device audio.
What You Need to Know:
- This functionality is automatically applied to all NYSERDA Microsoft Office accounts, and to all previously scheduled and future Microsoft Teams meetings.
- Dial-in information can be found within any Microsoft Teams invite, either in Microsoft Teams or Outlook.
- Every user has a unique Meeting Organizer PIN associated with their account which should be kept confidential.
- When using the dial-in functionality, Meeting Organizers must enter their PIN when prompted to start the meeting when they're the first person to join by phone.
- Accessing a meeting through a dial-in only will not provide access to other meeting functions, such as sharing content or viewing content shared by others.
- It is recommended that Meeting Organizers and participants continue to join meetings through either the cloud or desktop Microsoft Teams applications to participate in, and engage with, share content.
- Participants dialing into any Microsoft Teams meeting will be asked to record their name which is shared with the meeting audience both when entering or leaving the meeting.
Locate the meeting information within the meeting invite, then dial the Number and the Conference ID (when prompted) to join the meeting by phone.
Related External Guides:
Participants joining by dial-in only must be admitted into the meeting by the Meeting Organizer or another participant. After confirming the participant's identity through their voice recording, click Admit to grant them access.
The Meeting Organizer PIN can be reset using the link in the Call-in section of the Teams invite.
