This page provides guidance on how to use SecureAuth/Passcode QR Code Registration for an Android deviceregister the SecureAuth Authenticate app for your phone.

Start by going logging into SecureAuth at: Click the following link from a computer to bring you to the login page: http://secure.nyserda.ny.gov/SecureAuth998/SecureAuth.aspx.

Login with your NYSERDA Credentials;  Username and Password.

defaul. You can also send a code to a mobile phone on file as well as send the code itself to the Help Desk

the default. If you do not have access to your NYSERDA email, choose the Contact helpdesk option.

Follow onscreen instructions by first downloading the SecureAuth Passcode  Authenticate application on your phone. Note: the QR code here is only an example. Use the QR code that appears on screen

Click Connect Account in the applicationAfter SecureAuth Authenticate has been installed on your phone, open it. If prompted to allow camera access, click accept. Then, scan the QR code on your computer screen. Once scanned, the system will add the NYSERDA account.

Click Connect with QR Codeon the account, then select Go to App Lock.

Scan the QR code on the screen. if your phone prompts to allow camera permissions you must acceptToggle the slider bar next to Passcode on to create a unique pin to access your account.

Create a unique 4-digit pin and confirm it.

The passcode toggle will now show as active. Click Done on the top-left of the screen.

Confirm that the verification code visible on your computer and phone are the same, then click EnableConfirm connection with on app code on the original screen on the registration website.
